SAKO SERIKAT

Sako Serikat is a creative music group that carries the genre of Folktronica that focuses on ethnic Sumatra music. Sako Serikat was formed in 2018, consisting of 6 personnel with various fields of music who are members of a single piece of music that blends through the playing of traditional Indonesian ethnic musical instruments with a blend of electronic sound synthesizer. The name "Sako Serikat" is taken from two words, "Sako" which means an intangible inheritance from ancestors, while the word "Serikat" means association, combined. Taken from the equivalent of the two words above, "SAKO SERIKAT" means fusion Sumatra sounds are the intangible heritage of ancestors and are reembodied into one harmonious sound unit to be preserved in creative works for present and future generations.
